Health and safety spot checks and inspections during coronavirus
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is carrying out spot checks and inspections on all types of businesses in all areas to ensure they are COVID-secure.
HSE is working with Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council to carry out these spot checks to ensure that measures are in place to manage the risk from coronavirus.
Businesses will receive phone calls or visits to discuss measures that have been put in place and to check that measures are in accordance with the current Government guidelines and arranging inspections where necessary.
HSE want to reach as many businesses as possible and to support core work of the inspectors they are working with trained and approved partners to deliver spot check calls and visits.
Employers by law have a responsibility to protect staff, customers, visitors and others from harm which includes taking steps to manage risk from coronavirus.
