Additional Restrictions Grant – Update

The Government awarded £5,737,574 to Bury Council to deliver the Additional Restrictions Grant. This fund was initially proposed to last until March 2022 but when COVID restrictions were extended into 2021, the Government instructed local authorities to spend their funds by 30 June 2021.

Bury Council has achieved this goal and made more than 1,700 awards of support to businesses and the self-employed people of Bury. Our support has extended across all sectors, targeting those most key to keeping the Bury economy moving and growing.

Although we have fully spent the Additional Restrictions Grant, in doing so, we have qualified to receive a top-up from central government, and we are working hard to ensure that we are able to support those sectors who are still struggling during these difficult times.

We thank all applicants for their patience during the application process, we thank all businesses for their continued support and would like to assure any outstanding applicants that your queries will be answered.
